Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Log
Hotel Chocolat’s interpretation of the traditional Christmas log, smooth dark chocolate mixed with Piedmont praline and nuts to lift the chocolate flavour and add texture.
Christmas logs, or Yule logs, represent the last log to be brought in to be burnt on the fire, big enough to see the family through the winter months.
Traditionally the Yule Log cake is made from rolled sponge, like a Swiss roll, and then cover in chocolate icing.
The chocolate log from Hotel Chocolat is the grown up version, of the classic chocolate cake, dark chocolate blended with praline, Piedmont hazelnuts which milled to produce a velvety smooth praline, studded with pistachios and more hazelnuts and shaped into a Christmas log.
