Montezuma’s Christmas Marzipan and Chocolate Stollen
The traditional German Christmas cake is given a modern makeover with a chocolate twist as Montezuma’s Marzipan and Chocolate Christmas Stollen.
A wrapper Stollen is a Christmas cake that can be given as a Christmas gift in Germany, the moist bread-like fruitcake was originally meant to represent the baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes.
Montezuma’s Christmas chocolate version or the Stollen is simply marzipan and chocolate. The very best almond marzipan is flattened out, covered in almond paste and rolled into a rather large marzipan log. This is then covered in smooth chocolate and drizzled with milk, white and dark chocolate for decoration.
Presented in a clear fronted box, in Montezuma’s Christmas 2009 colours, the Marzipan and Chocolate Christmas Stollen makes a wonderful gift, dinner party dessert or present for the marzipan connoisseur.
£15.95, 450g.
Labelled: Preservatives / Additive / Colouring Free and Vegetarian.

This stuff is awesome. I buy it by the slice in the Spittalfields, London shop as I dont need a whole log. It may seem expensive but it is well worth it, this is truely a bit of heaven in a box! I have been waiting 10 months for the Stollen to come back in store. They have the balance just right! Well done Montezuma’s!
